Kyle Richardson 

Sr. Structural Engineer

 Kyle has 9+ years of experience with Civil and Structural Engineering at Cramer

Engineering, LLC, in addition to 12+ years of experience in Construction Management/General

Contracting. He received a Construction Engineering degree from The University of Akron and

has an extensive background in structural engineering, inspections, and construction project

management.

His main areas of experience and knowledge are in:

 Project Management, Commercial & Residential Inspections, Pole Barn Engineering/Design, Structural Forensics, Insurance Reports, Bridges, Foundation Engineering/Design, Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings, Drafting/Design work, Structural calculations, and Construction estimating

He has knowledge of the International Building Code, Ohio Building Code, Ohio Residential

Code, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, and AWS. His hobbies include spending time with his wife and

three kids, fishing, hunting, traveling, and golf.

David J. Bruns

Structural Designer/Draftsman

David is a Structural Designer/Draftsman with Cramer Engineering 

Recent Responsibilities:

Structural Designer/Draftsman with Cramer Engineering, LLC., since 2019 work including job site documentation of existing facilities including site plans, elevation views, foundation plans, section views and other various structural drawings for business facilities, residential structures and recreational facilities. Knowledge of building codes from various States, ADA requirements and drafting standards (including ANSI/ASME Y14).

Other responsibilities include generation of adjudication documentation, customer interfacing and various types of problem solving.

Experience Summary:

Over thirty years of drafting and industrial design experience; primarily focusing on industrial plan layouts, capital equipment design using 2D and 3D applications. Extensive experience with Microsoft Office software. Various computer aided design (CAD) software packages such as AutoCAD, Anvil 1000 & 5000, FastCAD and Hewlett Packard ME-10. Familiarity with FDA requirements for food industry and personal hygiene products. Developed drafting standards for several local manufacturers. Heavily involved in research and development of new industrial equipment.

Akron Machining Institute 6-month course in Plastic Mold Design

David and his wife Judy are the proud parents of three adult children and one granddaughter.  The Bruns family have been faithful members of their local church since 1985 and have been involved in various aspects of their church’s ministry; including praise and worship team, Hispanic Church, men’s and women’s prayer, as well as Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts.

David’s other interest include, but aren’t limited to songwriting, guitar building and sports writing for a Cleveland Browns fanbase website.

William Heaney Jr.

 Senior Structural Designer/Draftsmen

Recent Responsibilities:

Senior Structural Designer for Cramer Engineering, LLC., Structural Designer since 2013

work including conducting field investigation, research and review of existing customer

drawings to provide design layout and detailing of industrial structures, structural

buildings and heavy industrial machinery to include field construction monitor. Other

duties include construction cost estimates and general inspection of industrial facilities.

Contractor Safety Supervisor responsible for Safety compliance on ArcelorMittal

Cleveland Works BOF/Caster outage.

Responsible for disposition of assets at ArcelorMittal Weirton including oversight of

USW and Contractor personnel.

Safety Coordinator for demolition of an entire Power Plant in Toronto, Ohio including

assisting in the design of safe means to facilitate work in decayed areas.

Structural design work including conducting field investigation, research and review of

existing customer drawings to provide design layout and detailing of industrial structures,

structural buildings and heavy industrial machinery to include field construction monitor.

Other duties include construction cost estimates and general inspection of industrial

facilities.

Experience Summary:

Over 30 years in the following capacities:

Over 17 years with Army Corp of Engineer, as Carpenter, Inspector and

Construction/Project Manager for Military construction projects to include Department of

Dependent School (Pusan Korea), upgrading all training ranges throughout Germany and

several projects’ states side.

Structural Engineering Design/Detailing – Structural steel, concrete and foundation

design, review of shop drawings, detailing of in-field structural steel changes. Responsible for quality control during fabrication and installation structural steel projects.

Instructor of Construction Management for the Corp of Engineers, and Drafting

procedures at Cuyahoga Community College, Construction Technology Course, Phase III.

Paula Conner

Structural Designer/Draftsman

Paula is a Structural Designer/Draftsman with Cramer Engineering, LLC. Her recent responsibilities include job site documentation of existing structures, coordinating drawing details, creating detail elevation views, foundation plans and other various aspects of a new structure. Coordinating with clients on details for projects and other trades to make a project run smoothly. Paula has experience in many areas as she has been in the drafting field for over 20 years, some of her experience is with Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Sound System Design. Her education was at Portage Lakes Career Center with a certificate in AutoCad. In her free time, she enjoys time with family, camping and kayaking.


 


Bob Cramer Sr. 

Senior Construction Consultant 

Bob is licensed general contractor with over 50 years of experience in the construction industry. He also owns his own business, B.C. Construction.

Bob's primary interests outside of construction are enjoying spending time with his family, especially his 14 grandchildren. He also enjoys a good game of golf with his friends and fishing on Lake Erie.  

Sharon Cramer

Executive Assistant

Sharon is the Executive Assistant for Cramer Engineering. She also assists with marketing endeavors for the company as well. She recently retired from the Geauga County Public Library with over 20 years of experience in customer service. Outside of work, Sharon enjoys reading and gardening. She also enjoys quality family time along her children and 14 grandchildren.

Jim Mumaw

 

Structural Designer/Draftsman

Jim Mumaw is a Structural Designer/Draftsman with Cramer Engineering.  His responsibilities include job site documentation of existing structures, coordinating drawing details, creating detail elevation views, foundation plans, and other various aspects of a new structure.  He also coordinating with clients on details and with other trades to make a project run smoothly. 

Jim received an engineering degree from LeTourneau University in 1996.  He spent 7 years at Lincoln Electric in Cleveland where he received three patents for robotic welding methods and then spent 17 years at Nelson Stud Welding and received one patent in stud welding methods.  Jim is a certified welder of the AWS Structural Welding Code D1.1. He has also been a member of the Robotic Industries Association (RIA) and sat on the subcommittee R15.06 which developed the current ANSI safety standard for industrial robots and robot systems.  It was at Nelson Stud Welding where Jim Mumaw first met Jim Cramer.  Jim has taught at Wayne County Career Center, including a semester of AutoCAD, and spent two years as Facility Director for Wooster Grace Church, in Wooster Ohio. 2023 brought him back to the engineering world, and eventually back to his old friend Jim Cramer at Cramer Engineering.

Jim also volunteers as a firefighter and EMT for Sharon Township in Medina County.  Jim is an active outdoorsman, particularly hunting, camping, and hiking.  He is involved in his church, Grace Church of Greater Akron (Medina Campus), and Reclaim Ministries. 

Jim has been married to his wife Loree since 1987.  Together they have two married daughters and two grandchildren.

Deandra Loza

Business Development Executive

Deandra is the Business Development Executive at Cramer Engineering, LLC. She has a Master of Science of Nursing with an Executive focus. With over 15 years of experience in healthcare along with various leadership roles, she has decided to take on another role in a different field of interest with Cramer Engineering in addition to nursing. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her husband and two children, as well as, spending time with her family and friends.   

Joy Nixon

 

Administrative Assistant

Joy came to Cramer Engineering in 2018 after retiring from a 25-year career as a respiratory therapist

Her responsibilities include:

Human Resource Tasks

· Invoicing

· Stamping of reviewed plans

She is a graduate of The Ohio State University as well as North Central State. She holds two degrees, a BS in Education and an AAS in Respiratory Therapy. She is an avid Ohio State Football fan! She enjoys traveling especially to Florida to visit her son and granddaughters there. She also spends a lot of her time with her daughter and two grandchildren in Akron.

Structurl Engineer

 

Israr Ahmad

Israr has three years of experience working with Cramer Engineering, LLC, and an overall seven years of experience working on civil and structural engineering projects.

His responsibilities as a structural engineer at Cramer Engineering include the following:

Engineering, design, and structural calculations for barndominiums, post-frame or pole barn buildings, residential buildings, additions or alterations to existing structures, pergolas, and outdoor decking. Also, structural analysis and review of post-frame buildings, residential buildings, foundations, and PEMB.

His other responsibilities as a project manager include the following:

Manage clients, projects, and work schedules. Write proposals, manage staff, follow up on job leads, emails, and phone calls, Schedules progress meetings, reports, letters, and sells engineering services.

He received his civil engineering degree from the University of Engineering & Technology, Pakistan, and did his specialization in structural engineering from the National University of Science & Technology, Pakistan. He has knowledge of IBC, IRC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC. He has experience with Forteweb, Staad Pro, PCACOL, AutoCAD, MS Office, and other handy structural spreadsheets.

His hobbies include spending time with his parents, brothers, wife, and a three-year-old son. He loves to hang out with friends and eat his favorite dish, "Shinwari." He is often found watching documentaries on the creation of the multiverse, the universe, galaxies, stars, and our solar system.
